They're installed in my 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ. To get the hi beams to go off, you have to remove the fog lamp relay and do without fog lamps. I believe this only affects 97 and 98 Cherokees. The fog lamp relay looks for a hard ground through the filament when the high beam on a regular incandescent lamp is off. You don't get a hard ground on the Truck-Lite high beam terminal when the high beams are off. You get some voltage through the lamp, maybe A.C. which causes the relay not to engage. I'm working on a relay modification to fix this problem. Knucklebuster at cherokeeforum.
